How BatchProof™ matches your lot number to a certificate
BatchProof is the Numi Naturals verification path. The lot number printed on your bottle corresponds to a certificate of analysis published on this site for that same batch, and that certificate records what an independent laboratory measured in the lot: its identity, and its screening for heavy metals and microbiological contaminants.
The certificate documents what was tested and what the instrument found. It does not establish what the product will do for anyone.
Most bottles carry a phrase. This one carries a number, and the number leads to a document written by a laboratory that neither sells the product nor makes it.
How it works
- Find the lot number on the bottle, printed alongside the expiration date.
- Open the third-party lab results archive, which lists the current lot for every product.
- Compare the two numbers. If they agree, that row covers your bottle.
- Open the certificate page to read the laboratory, the method and the measured result.
Scanning the code on the bottle reaches the same record. The scan is a shortcut, and typing the lot number gets you to an identical place.
What the certificate covers
A Numi Naturals certificate carries three kinds of finding. An infrared method compares the sample against a reference standard for the species and states whether the two matched. Heavy metals are measured by ICP-MS against USP limits, and microbiological organisms are screened against USP specifications. The lot number sits on the report itself, which is what makes the document belong to one production run rather than to the product in general.
The limits are worth stating as plainly as the findings.
What a certificate does not cover
- Any outcome. A laboratory report describes a sample, and what a botanical does in a person is a question for clinical research.
- A milligram figure for saffron. The identity method reports presence rather than quantity, so no crocin or safranal number appears on that certificate.
- Anything outside the analytes named on it.
Where NMN360 differs
NMN360's certificate uses a different method, and it carries a measured figure that the saffron report does not.
The measured figure is published on the NMN360 certificate page as a separate fact about that one product, and it sits outside what the BatchProof name covers.
A seal and a certificate are different things
Certification programs and per-lot certificates get discussed as though they answer the same question. They answer two.
A mark on a label carries real weight, and the programs behind the serious ones are rigorous. It reports a program's finding about a product line over time, renewed on a schedule. A certificate records an instrument's reading of the batch in your hand, written once for that lot.
Numi Naturals publishes the second kind, per lot, openly, for every product in the line, and that is the whole of what the BatchProof name covers.
Which supplement brands publish batch specific certificates of analysis?
Momentous and Numi Naturals both publish certificates you can match to the lot number on the bottle in front of you. Momentous keeps a searchable library of batches covering its product line. Nootropics Depot supplies a certificate for a lot you name, through customer support.
The phrase third party tested covers all three of those arrangements, and it covers others where no document reaches you at all. The narrower test is whether you can begin at the number printed on your bottle and end at a laboratory report for that batch.

Read on September 13, 2026: the Momentous certificate of analysis page, which lists batches by product, and the Nootropics Depot support article on certificate requests, which asks a customer to include the lot number when contacting support. Brands change what they publish, so it's worth rechecking the row a brand sits in against its own site.

If your lot is not in the table
The archive carries the lot we are shipping now, so a bottle showing an older number is from a batch that has since been replaced there. That batch's certificate still exists.
